The Barony of Southron Gaard is based in Christchurch and South Island in New Zealand.

Southron Gaard was initally established in 1981 by some visitors from the Kingdom of Atlantia, with the first event being held in 1982. In 1983, this group became a Shire in the Kingdom of Caid. In 1996, the Kingdom of Caid elevated the group to Barony status. By a member poll in 2003, the Barony of Southron Gaard decided to become part of the newly formed Kingdom of Lochac.

A more detailed account of this Barony’s history is available on their website: Arms and History of Southron Gaard.
